Community Help Service asbl was established in 1969 to provide professional services to the English speaking community in Belgium. We are a registered non-profit organisation.
The services provided by CHS are delivered via two different groups within CHS:
- Mental Health Centre,
- Help Line,
- Mental Health Centre
CHS runs the Mental Health Centre in Brussels. Our professional team of psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists offers confidential support and professional services to English speakers of any nationality. We deal with a wide range of problems, including but not limited to:
- Children’s learning and behavioural difficulties
- Parenting issues
- Drug and alcohol addiction
- Depression and anxiety
- Acute distress and behavioural change
- Marital and family difficulties
Bereavement
- The Help Line
CHS also maintains the Help Line, an anonymous 24 hour English language crisis, support and information telephone service. It is staffed by volunteers who are trained and supervised by the professional members of the CHS staff.
